I have weird feelings for Al Michaels. It sucks for him to go from calling the Superbowl last year, to calling a Steelers/Browns game on a Thursday Night in week 3. So I feel bad for him professionally. On the other hand, the guy is making $1 million a game to work for Amazon… at 77 years old. So…
Things could be worse for him and Mrs. Al Michaels.
Steelers @ Browns (Browns -4.5, O/U 38.5)
Now we’re back to our bread and butter. We’re getting shitty Thursday Night games with shitty Quarterbacks and good defenses. I love it.
Call him a loser. Call him a dweeb. Call him an inaccurate dork. Call him a weak-armed fuck. Call him whatever you want. He’s Mitch Trubisky and every criticism anyone’s ever had about him is correct, no matter what the criticism is. That doesn’t matter here because the Browns are also playing with Jacoby Brissett.
Brissett is equally bad but in different ways. Jacoby is like using a gum wrapper with a piece of chewed Zebra Stripe in it as a bookmark. He’s spent, he’s lost the small amount of juice that he had, and we knew this was going to happen.
We saw that the Browns are able to put up points when they put up 26 against the Panthers and 30 against the Jets…
2 teams with notably bad defenses. The Steelers? A notably good defense.
You could make an argument that the Steelers are allergic to scoring, and I would listen to you and probably agree with you. That’s not really what matters here though.
What matters is that Mike Tomlin is 45-25 ATS as the Steelers head coach and that’s what I’m going to bite on. 4.5 points is way too many points for the Browns to lay.
Steelers +4.5 AND Jacoby Brissett to throw an interception (EVEN).
